1,500 Treat Packages Delivered to Special Needs Children
On the morning of Thursday, May 27, 2021, Garden Grove Strawberry Festival Directors delivered 1,500 Treat Packages consisting of plush cuddly teddy bear toys, bags of popcorn and fruit juice pouches to Special Needs Children in the Garden Grove Unified School District.
The GGSFA would like to publicly acknowledge and thank the following sponsors who have made this 2021 Special Kid’s Day possible, including: Butler Amusements, now celebrating their 50th Anniversary, for their $1,350 donation, half of the cost of the teddy bears; Great Wolf Lodge for their $1,000 contribution; Target for $200 in gift cards; Costco for a $100 gift card used to purchase drink pouches and packaging supplies; Anaheim Marriott Suites for providing accommodations for the Festival’s publicist; and the Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove for storage space for the 1,500 teddy bears, popcorn bags, drink pouches, and the many Volunteers who helped with the packing party on the evening on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
