Garden Grove Miss Outstanding Teen Sophie NessarySophie is a freshman at Orange County School of the Arts. She is an honor student who enjoys being part of their Acting Conservatory. Sophie is classically trained in voice, she also loves to tap dance and plays AYSO Soccer. She will serenade the audience with her classical performance of “Think Of Me” from Phantom Of The Opera at Miss California’s Outstanding Teen Pageant in June.

Sophie’s platform is the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) promoting kind and proper pet care and pet adoptions. Finding your FuRRever friend at the ASPCA can be life changing in the best way. The ASPCA is a no kill rescue shelter. Sophie collects items such as blankets, toys, food/water bowls, small treats, leashes and collars that are greatly needed and she donates them all to help successfully run our local pet shelters. Keep an eye out for the bright yellow collection bin at City Hall the entire month of May where you can donate supplies and be part of her team.

Her love for pets is so great that last year she adopted/rescued her own FuRRever friend “Sally” a long hair Chihuahua/Terrier mix that she enjoys taking to Senior Nursing Homes to visit the elderly. They absolutely love cuddling and visiting with Sally who is currently being trained as Pet Therapy Pup.

Sophie is an Orange County girl who loves our beautiful and diverse community of Garden Grove, she loves to smile, promote kindness and meet new people, so be sure to say hello if you see her.

At the end of June, Sophie will be representing Garden Grove in Fresno for the Miss California Outstanding Teen 2018 Title. If she wins, she will be the second Garden Grove Teen to win the State Crown. Be sure to catch a preview of her talent at the Strawberry Festival’s Miss Garden Grove and Friends.
