Ms. America 2014
Dr. Stephanie Mills was thrilled to be crowned Ms. America on August 9, 2014 at the Curtis Theatre in Brea, California following a three day pageant with contestants from around the country. As Ms. America 2014-2015, Stephanie is promoting her personal platform “Making an Impact: Concussion Awareness” during her year of service. Thus far, Stephanie has made dozens of appearances across the country. Through her partnership with the Brain Injury Association of America, Stephanie hosted New Hampshire’s first ever “Bowling for Brain Injury” fundraiser. She has also recorded Public Service Announcements for radio and television, has lectured on Concussion Awareness for the ICPA Family Wellness Summit in Washington, DC as well as the Parker Seminar in Las Vegas. In December, Stephanie traveled to Haiti with Mission Life International to bring chiropractic care to impoverished communities and orphanages in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
When not acting as Ms. America 2014-2015, Dr. Mills is the host of the weekly radio show “Half Hour to Health” on 107.7 FM and is the Clinic Director of Crossroads Chiropractic in New Hampshire. Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science Summa Cum Laude from Regent’s College and a Doctorate Summa Cum Laude from the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Dr. Mills was on the President’s List and named as a Presidential Scholar upon graduation.
Stephanie is the proud mother of two daughters, Emilee and Brooke. Her daughter Brooke suffered a devastating head trauma during her freshman year of high school. Brooke’s injury and journey back to health inspired Stephanie’s platform to raise awareness of concussions.
Stephanie will crown her successor at the Curtis Theatre on August 29, 2015.
