Brick-Build Contest (Monday, May 29th)

Put your LEGO, DUPLO, or other plastic brick-building skills to the test. Participants will be given 30-minutes to build their best representation of our Celebrating Kindness theme.

**Floats must be completed at home and brought to the festival for judging.

Sign-Up online or at the Festival Amphitheater, 12762 Main Street, from 11:00 p.m. to 12:55 p.m. on the day of the contest.

Participants will be judged in three age groups at the following times:

  • 5-11 years old – 1:30 p.m.
  • 12-17 years old – 2:30 p.m.
  • 18-years old and up 3:30 p.m.

Winners will be chosen for the following in each age group category:

  • Best Representation of Theme
  • Most Creative

RULES:

  • Entries must be completed at home and brought to the festival for judging.
  • Entries must reflect the theme of this year’s festival: Celebrating Kindness
  • Late arrivals will not be able to participate. Use the main entrance at the Festival Amphitheater (12762 Main Street), and proceed to the floor of the theater and up the steps located to the right, taking into consideration any performance that may be occurring on stage.
  • Use your own LEGO, DUPLO, plastic bricks
  • Entries must be your own creation, not a pre-designed kit or a project found online, in a magazine, etc.
  • Your creation must be on a base no bigger than 10” x 10”; a standard 32 x 32 stud-baseplate by LEGO is acceptable. The height limit is 24”.
  • Each participant will be given 30-minutes to create.
  • Participants will be required to talk about their creation for 1-3 minutes. Upon judging participants will be asked questions about their build.
  • All eligible contestants will be accepted.
  • Decisions of judges will be final.
