Raphael Alejandro was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is the younger sibling of three. He decided to follow his older sister, Dalila Bela, and older brother, Bruce Salomon, footsteps and started acting when he was 4 years old. He immediately starting doing commercials and soon after that, he became a favorite with casting and a strong choice in commercials, film and television.
At 5 years old, he got his first television credit as “Roland”, a recurring role for the popular ABC TV Series “Once Upon a Time”. Raphael’s role as Robin Hood’s son, played by Sean Maguire, became a very favorite among the public. Soon after that, his career in film and television flourished. Raphael was landing roles in other TV Series as Fox Network“Almost Human” with Karl Urban and Michael Ealy; and Syfy Network “Olympus” from the creator Nick Willing. He also landed a series regular role in an ABC Network pilot “Nerd Herd” working beside Melanie Griffith and James Roday. In addition to his TV Series credits, Raphael’s film credits include “Badge of Honor” with Martin Sheen and Mena Suvari; and “Kindergarten Cop 2” with Dolph Lundgren.
He most recently wrapped a lead role in the Lionsgate feature “How to be a Latin Lover” where he plays the role of “Hugo”, Salma Hayek’s son and Eugenio Derbez’ nephew. In this movie, Raphael worked along with Rob Lowe, Rachel Welch and Kristen Bell. Lately, he was a special guest invited to be a part of this popular talent reality show “Pequeños Gigantes USA” from Univision, a Spanish latin american Network, performing a sketch for the audience in Spanish with Eugenio Derbez. Raphael was nominated for the Young Artist Awards for his outstanding performance in the TV Series “Almost Human” and he won the Joey Award with the feature “Kindergarten Cop 2”.
Raphael is very a dedicated actor and is always ready for new challenges. He is fluent in four languages: English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. As well as following the entertainment business, Raphael would like to became an archeologist. He has a real passion for dinosaurs. When he is not working, Raphael is fulfilling his curiosity with informative books. He also enjoys playing with his sister and brother.
