Humberto Luna is a true legend in Los Angeles Spanish language radio. His cast of characters, “Lunaticos” have entertained Southern California Hispanics for more than thirty five years. He now brings his brand of interactive, fun, and excitement to La Ranchera 96.7 FM every Saturday and Sunday from 10am-2pm. Luna has found a home with La Ranchera’s exclusive folkloric, ranchera music format.
Advertisers and listeners alike have enjoyed this active community icon. In 1990, Humberto became the first Hispanic entertainment personality to receive a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. Luna has received many awards from a variety of civic and community organizations. In 1991, Humberto was named “One of the 100 major Hispanics influences in America by Hispanic Business Magazine.
A native of Zacatecas, Mexico, Luna came to Southern California in 1970. A superstar on radio, Luna also has appeared in 25 motion pictures, has hosted “Hablemos de Cine” on Univison, and his own television talk show La Hora Lunatica on the Telemundo network.
