Vendor Booth Information Learn more. Annually hundreds of vendors compete to secure one of 181 booths to sell their wares. Many have returned for 20 or more years because being here has been so profitable for them.  Booths are on a first come, first served basis so those who apply early have the best chance of getting in. Items for sale include toys, high and low end jewelry, purses, shoes, hats, clothing, plants, sunglasses, patio furniture, artwork, crafts, photos, hand-in-wax molds, nuts and dried fruit, palm readers, an Elks car auction and many more. Amphitheater

In use during the festival are two entertainment venues:  a 550-seat amphitheater and a showmobile stationed at Main and Acacia streets.  The amphitheater is part of the Gem Theater on Main Street.  There all the contests are held and local talent perform such as the Guardettes Dance Group and Miss Garden Grove and Friends and the Colony of Performing Arts.   This year we have the following activities scheduled in the amphitheater: Friday, May 23rd 4 pm – Tiny Tots King & Queen Contest Saturday, May 24th 7:30 P.M. - Strawberry Idol Karaoke Contest Sunday, May 25th 11 A.M....

Strawberry Festival Parade 2012

Everyone loves a parade!  So each year the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival holds its parade on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend at 10 a.m. with floats, bands, equestrians and characters such as Knott’s Berry Farm’s Snoopy.  The festival board generously subsidized local high school bands so they can join in the fun.  Thousands turn out each year to view the parade and cheer Miss Garden Grove and her court, Miss Outstanding Teen and her court, the Senior King and Queen and the Tiny Tots King and Queen as they ride by on their floats. Charity Booth Information The Festival’s non-profit food booths annually average from $3,000 to $40,000 each for their organization. Returning again to ring up high sales will be Job’s Daughters Bethel 212 offering whipped cream-topped piles of glazed strawberries paired with shortcake or ice cream or both.  Their specialty, Strawberry Shortcake Supreme, every year brings long lines of patient and determined patrons.   The Garden Grove Boys and Girls Club will again increase their coffers selling churros, chocolate dipped berries, strawberry baby cupcakes, and this year added...

2012 Cake Cutting

Since 1958 the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival has treated the community to free strawberry shortcake at its grand opening ceremony at Main and Acacia streets in Garden Grove. The giant cake will be created by bakery. Some of the Saturday parade celebrities, who could not resist having a taste, will be there to say a few words and to pass out cake to the crowd. Many local dignitaries also attend. More info here.
